DANIEL MOROZE

To supplement my summer work experience, I started The Birdhouse Project, a self-run small business. I created a website, took orders, made deliveries, dealt with communications, and fabricated birdhouses for my customers.

These were among my first woodworking projects that incorporated both form and function. Aside from detailing each home to mimic the real thing, the houses had to be sturdy, waterproof, weather-resistant, and habitable for birds.

A portion of the profits were donated to the Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newark.
